How it works

Click any element on the page to screenshot it. Add notes, capture multiple elements, paste from clipboard. Screenshots are optional—submit text-only reports for console errors or other non-visual issues.

This page explains how to install and use Checkpoint. Use it to QA all Tempo surfaces—app, explorer, docs, payments, and more.

Screenshot Capture

Hover over any element to highlight it. Click to capture a screenshot. Each capture gets a numbered badge.

Capture flow
1 Hover over an element — see "CLICK TO CAPTURE"
2 Click to screenshot that element
3 Describe what's wrong in the popup
4 Repeat for as many elements as needed
Paste support

Open the report modal and press Cmd+V to paste screenshots from your clipboard. You can also drag and drop images.

Test Workflow

Use the pause button to toggle capture mode. Test a flow, then capture the result.

Recommended workflow
1 Activate Checkpoint
2 Click pause to disable capture mode
3 Test your flow — trigger the bug
4 Unpause to re-enable capture
5 Screenshot the broken state
6 Submit report

Install

Two ways to use Checkpoint. The Chrome extension is recommended for higher resolution screenshots.

Chrome / Edge Extension

Higher resolution screenshots using native browser APIs

2 Unzip the file
3 Go to chrome://extensions
4 Enable "Developer mode" (top right toggle)
5 Click "Load unpacked" → select the unzipped folder
6 Click the Checkpoint icon in your toolbar
Bookmarklet — Safari, Firefox, Arc

Works on any browser. May have minor rendering differences.

1 Drag the Checkpoint button to your bookmarks bar
2 Go to any Tempo page
3 Click the bookmark to activate

All bug reports are sent to the WEB team in Linear. Screenshots are embedded directly in tickets.
